Tick, Tick... BOOM!
Set in 1990s New York, Tick, Tick... Boom! tells the semi-autobiographical account of aspiring writer and composer Jonathan Larson. Through its 3 person cast, the show narrates Jon’s struggle to get his new musical Superbia produced, with his best friend Michael’s newfound success in the corporate world representing the confounding dilemma of a life with financial security, and his girlfriend Susan representing the option to escape towards a more settled life.

Created before the critically acclaimed Rent, Tick, Tick... Boom! focuses on the pressures imposed by career decisions on love & relationships, enacted through emotional monologue, witty role-playing, and an incredible rock score.

Tick, Tick... Boom! was brought to the Michael Pilch Studio in Oxford on May 27 - June 4 by Half Rhyme Productions and Jazz Hands Productions.
